Emily Newberry brings nearly three decades of mental health experience to her new Orlando practice. Licensed in both Georgia and Florida, Emily has built a reputation for results-driven, compassionate care — and is honored to now extend that work to the Central Florida community.
Background & Experience
Emily's career has taken her across several areas of the mental health field, giving her a breadth of experience that informs everything she does in private practice today:

Started her career at The Methodist Home for Children & Youth, directing therapeutic foster care and adoption programs

Spent 15 years at Coliseum Psychiatric Center (now Piedmont Behavioral Health), developing and leading Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs for both chemical dependency and psychiatric populations

Moved into private practice to focus her expertise where she finds it most rewarding — working one-on-one with people who are ready for change

Emily's approach is evidence-based and tailored to each client, with a focus on creating meaningful change in a reasonable amount of time:

ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) and I-CBT (Inference-Based CBT) for OCD and anxiety

SPACE therapy for parents of anxious children

Certified Clinical Hypnotherapy and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) for clients who feel stuck or have difficulty connecting with and expressing their emotions

Emily offers in-person sessions on Tuesdays, and telehealth options are always available. Sessions are fee-for-service, and payment is collected at the time of each session. Superbills are available upon request to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
