Donna Thrash Kurpiers, M.A. LMHC holds a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Western Michigan University.  Donna currently holds a Florida Mental Health Counselor license, is a Certified Motivational Career Coach and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator.  Donna is also a member of the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association and the National Career Development Association.  

 

Donna's professional career spans 20 years.  For several years she served as a clinician and Program Director of a county-based drug and alcohol outpatient treatment program in Michigan and was a Clinical Supervisor of an outpatient substance abuse treatment program in Pittsburgh, PA before entering private practice in Georgia.  

 

In 2010, Donna was contracted to provide personal and career counseling, coaching and job search services to the transitioning aerospace population in response to the retirement of the NASA Space Shuttle Program.  Working with transitioning NASA, Lockheed Martin, Boeing and United Space Alliance engineers, technicians and other skilled professionals.  Donna provided high level services to assist clients in navigating career re-alignment. 

 

Donna describes her current services as boutique personal and career counseling and coaching services helping people navigate the intersection of life and work. Through the integration of professional experience and training in mental health and career counseling, and her own personal experiences with career transition and job search, Donna is adept at helping people navigate important life changes. From job loss and career transition, to career progression, job search and retirement planning,  Donna provides high level counseling and coaching programs and services that are custom tailored to the unique needs of individual clients.  Recognizing that all change requires a series of conversations about coping and decision making, managing stress and maintaining healthy relationships.  Some areas of coaching and counseling are work-life balance issues, parenting & relationships, career assessments using the MBTI type and Strong Interest Inventory, LinkedIn review, resume rewrites and personal branding services.  

 

Scheduling:  Donna is accepting new clients and schedules appointments Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Thursdays from 8:00 AM to Noon.  Initial intake sessions last 90 minutes.  Individual sessions last 50 minutes.  

 

Payment:  Donna accepts self-payment only.  Fees range from $90.00 per 50-minute counseling session to $150.00 for an initial 90-minute counseling assessment which includes the development of recommendations and counseling/coaching goals and strategies.

Resume Services:  2-hour intensive session to refine the content and organization of the resume to meet the industry standards and clearly articulate capabilities and accomplishments.

LinkedIn:  2-hour intensive session that guides you in developing a LinkedIn site and provides instruction on effective ways to use LinkedIn to create key connections and discover job opportunities.

Job Search:  2-hour intensive session to develop a job search strategy and action plan to engage in proactive job search methods.  Guaranteed to boost job search activity resulting in securing a new job faster.

Interview Coaching:  1 to 2 sessions to develop powerful interview responses to effectively leverage past performance and accomplishments.  Participate in practice interview sessions to build skill in effectively communicating market value to employers.

Building a Personal Brand:  Your beliefs, passions, opinions, unique way of thinking and your personal and social communications (verbal and nonverbal) become the ingredients to build an incredible personal brand.

Private Family Mediation Services: Divorce mediation, parenting plan and time sharing agreements, distribution of assets and liabilities and child support.
